The Security Service of EsTram (Eskişehir Tramvay) uses Macroscop Software
EsTram (Eskişehir Tramvay) is a tram system located in Eskişehir, Turkey. The system has a total length of 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) (double track) and operates on two main lines, Otogar-SSK and Opera-Osmangazi University. The Estram network is designed to carry passengers at a top speed of 50 km/h (31 mph) in mixed traffic. Rolling stock is Bombardier Flexity Outlook low-floor articulated light-rail trams.
As a result of thorough testing and competitive comparison, Macroscop IP camera software was selected to manage the video surveillance system. Macroscop has been installed at 35 different train stations with the total number of 176 channels. Sabotage detection module is provided with Macroscop license absolutely free of charge. Sabotage detection module allows to reveal camera defocusing, panning away from pre-defined view, illumination and overlapping, which is particularly relevant for the public place surveillance.
At the moment, the security officers are fully satisfied with Macroscop capabilities and plan to expand the system in the nearest future.
The project was carried out by PCC Elektronik company - Macroscop exclusive distributor in Turkey.
